Hiya! I’m a graphic designer living and working in Astoria, Queens. After graduating the Pratt Institute my design practice has been focused in marketing design. Creatively my interests lie in ideation and iteration, light as a medium, and developing a practice through play.

On Time

Summer of 2019 I started to trace clouds using chalk paint pens on my bedroom window; each mark I made became a metaphorical composition of the passing of time.

Through a creative process inspired by indeterminacy and visualizing our perception of time, my work became subjective in nature, as is time itself. This led me to creating mobiles, creating installations using live projections and footage, as well as researching the philosopy and physics of the theory of time.

On Play

Initially reimagining the tool of navigation, I created an installation using mylar and variations of lighting that paired with obstructing goggles in order to navigate through the space. Providing chalk paint pens, l asked friends to draw on the mylar what shapes of light they saw as they moved around.

Each mark made was ultimately a mark of the past, since the shapes from the light would change at every touch. After scanning cut outs of the mylar, I created a typeface from the shapes I pulled from the scans. The typeface represents a form of creativity through digital language.
